New Court Theater

Here's what's going on at Beloit College this summer. Sorry I didn't post this sooner.

June 11-28 Nevermind

SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM
July 9-12, 17-20, 23-26

This wonderfully charming yet sophisticated revue of Steven Sondheim music is brimming with many of the tunes you love from Gypsy, West Side Story, and Company, as well as lesser known pieces that will quickly become favorites. This Tony Award-winning musical is a perfect introduction to the work of this contemporary master and a must for die-hard fans. The show will feature NCT veterans Michael Herold of Jacques Brel and Jack Forbes Wilson of Our Town and Romantic Inklings, along with newcomers Patte Lund and Samantha Sostarich.

ART
July 30-August 2, August 7-10, 13-16

How much would you pay for a white painting? Would it matter who the painter was? Would it be art? This hilarious play questions, celebrates and argues the concept of what art is, swept the Tony Awards and has kept audiences in stitches all over the world. Winner of the 1996 Olivier Award for Best Comedy and 1998 Tony Award for Best Play. This final offering brings together Jack Forbes Wilson, Paul Carbonell - whose fast-talking talent agent delighted audiences in I Hate Hamlet - and Michael Anthony Chase, of Guys on Ice and I Do! I Do!

Tickets
Adults $21.50
Seniors (62+) $19.00
Students $10.50
Previews (1st Weds. show) $10.00 for all

I was also more interested in Art, but if we got people together soon enough, I would enjoy seeing the sondheim one as well. The preview for Sondheim is already over, but should we try to plan for the preview for Art? It's cheaper.

yes. you wanna be in charge of planning the art exposition (pun intended), joey?

Abso-tootin-lutely I do, Ingrid. Also, was there ever talk of going to see Mamma Mia! ? It comes out this weekend.

Yeah definitely try for the preview for Art, and I'll definitely be going to see it. If Im not in Florida. Apparently my grandma decided we're all going to Disney from Aug. 1st to Aug. 10th.

but yeah.

Oh and I totally forgot about Mamma Mia...I need to get a job so I have money for all this! lol

anyway I'll stop my pointless rambling now :D

Okay, yes you're right about batman, Jenny, but Mamma Mia is based on a broadway musical, so I thought it was more relevant to this blog. So keep your "pshhh" to yourself! (JK, LOL) Actually, is Ingrid still planning the IMAX trip?
